Illustration and graphic design studies
Editorial illustration and graphic design for advertising agencies and the ceramics sector. Development of corporate identities, packaging and print materials.
What I learned: FreeHand, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, traditional illustration techniques, color theory, typography, and print composition.
2006 — 2015
Postgraduate at Elisava and Frontend specialisation
From designer and illustrator to UI/UX and markup specialist. Migration from Flash to HTML5/CSS3. Early adoption of semantic markup, accessibility, responsive design (2012) and agile methodologies.
What I learned: Semantic HTML5, CSS3, vanilla JavaScript, Adobe Flash/ActionScript, Responsive Web Design, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and web accessibility fundamentals (WCAG).
2015 — 2019
Mixed profile as a differentiating factor
Development of accessible design systems for B2B SaaS. Transition from Adobe to Figma and adoption of modern frameworks. Specialisation in WCAG 2.1. Certification in accessibility audits.
What I learned: Figma, Sketch, Sass/LESS, Bootstrap, accessibility auditing (WCAG 2.1 AA), Design System creation, and design-development integration workflows.
2019 — 2022
Specialisation in UX, Design Systems and Accessibility
Deep dive into systems design, information architecture and user experience. Implementation of Design Thinking and Lean UX methodologies. Development of interactive prototypes and user testing. Adoption of No-Code tools.
What I learned: Design Thinking, Lean UX, advanced Figma, Tailwind CSS, No-Code tools (Webflow, Framer), user testing, and information architecture.
2024 — Today
AI + Senior expertise: the new paradigm
Integration of AI into my regular working method. Focus on decisions AI cannot make: strategy, aesthetic criteria, contextual accessibility, business logic, etc.
What I learned: LLMs and AI assistants (Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini, NotebookLM), design/code workflow automation, prompt engineering applied to UI/UX, and AI-assisted layout.
