Making the Internet a more usable and beautiful place since 2006.
My name is Miguel Ángel Sánchez Rubio and I’m a web designer and UI/UX developer based in Vinaròs, a lovely town on the Spanish shores of the Mediterranean.
Xtencil is my alias and my professional name. I've been a freelance designer since 2007, working with many design agencies and startup companies around the world.
During this time I've been involved in a wide range of projects, and I worked for all kinds of sectors: fashion, food, retail, e-commerce, sports, nongovernment... Among others.
In short, I'm a frontend developer who thinks that all design should never end in Figma or Sketch, but when it comes to life in HTML and CSS.
Associated agencies and tech partners
I enjoy working with good companies friends on exciting and challenging projects.
Some brands I've worked for ...
Miguel has managed to transform the idea we had into an improved reality of our vision. Not only that, but he visualizes and executes in a way that we have not encountered with any other design company.
Nacho González, founder at Qointax.com
Miguel is an unbelievable talented designer. He loves his craft and is exceptional at communicating his ideas while embracing our needs. Our team turns to him again and again for his excellent, creative designs.
Roberto Castro, product leader at Surikat.io
Today, more than ten years later and after two redesigns, I'm still work with Xtencil. My website has been nominated several times on Awwwards.com, not only for my drawings and music videos, but for his very good work.
Diego Latorre, artist and filmmaker
With its work and advice, we got a website exactly as we wanted it. We've been very grateful for his ability to listen and attend to our ideas, making a balanced design that works great.
Elisa Ruiz de Ojeda, CEO in FotoBB Reportajes
He promptly and perfectly took the brief on board, designed the pages with great accuracy and showed an excellent technical knowledge both of design and CSS layout of web pages throughout the project. The working relationship was very smooth.
Nicolas Montigneaux, founder and CEO of Kidekom
Xtencil know how to achieve the fine balance of an attractive design that isn't excessive, completely geared to functionality, but without forfeiting originality. "Less is more" in all their work.
